Why the Roof Layout Matters

Both roofs use overlapping sheets. Compare the support, drainage and delivery differences.

Sheet direction & drainage

  • Roof beam support

Our gable design includes roof support beams across the top frame to support the vertical roof sheets. Support configuration varies by model.

  • Drainage & sealing

Vertical sheets channel rain down the slope. The compared short-sheet wrapped layout needs silicone at overlaps, adding sealing work and joints to inspect.

  • Freight costs

Full-length wrapped sheets avoid short-sheet joins, but longer loads may cost more to deliver. Compare freight costs as well as the kit price.

  • Gutter options

Our gable design allows gutters along both sides to collect runoff. The wrapped design compared here is not designed for gutters on both sides.*

Reference illustrations only. *Gutters are optional and not included. Follow kit instructions for overlaps, ridge capping, flashings and sealant. Both roofs need periodic inspection.

Benefits & Dimensions

Give suitable vehicles an overhead-covered place to park. The roof provides shade from direct sun and can reduce direct overhead exposure to hail. It does not guarantee protection from every weather event.

This kit has a 6m nominal frame width and 6m length and may suit side-by-side parking where the vehicles, doors and access space fit comfortably. Standard height has a 2.4m side height and approximately 3.2m peak height. Raised height has a 3.1m side height and approximately 3.9m peak height.

Measure your vehicles at their widest and highest points, including mirrors, roof racks and other accessories. Check the available installation space and required clearance before choosing a height.

Delivery, Warranty & Returns

Home delivery: A$109 within 25km of our Acacia Ridge warehouse. For eligible addresses beyond 25km and up to approximately 300km, home delivery is quoted for your postcode.

Further away: regional and interstate freight is usually quoted to a suitable local depot for collection. We confirm the available delivery method, freight charge and collection arrangements before you order.

Warranty: this DIY shelter has a three-year warranty against rust-through perforation. A separate one-year materials and workmanship warranty also applies, subject to the full policy. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.

Change-of-mind returns: contact us within seven days of delivery or pickup. Returns require prior approval and the kit must be unused, uninstalled, unassembled and complete in its original condition and packaging. Pickup & Dispatch

We supply directly from our Acacia Ridge warehouse without a dealer intermediary. Please confirm current stock for your chosen model, height and colour before visiting or ordering.

Warehouse pickup: arrange collection after we confirm your order and loading arrangements. The packed kit is bulky; bring a suitable ute, trailer or arranged transport.

Freight orders: for an in-stock kit, dispatch is arranged within 48 hours after payment and order confirmation. “Dispatch” means the kit leaves our warehouse; transit and depot collection times are additional.

Home delivery: the delivery date depends on your location and the available route. We will confirm the expected arrangement when we provide your delivered quote.
